Erasmus+ is the new European Union’s program for education, training, youth and sports for 2014 – 2020 period. Erasmus+ brings together seven EU programs in education, training, youth, and, for the first time, it supports sports. The combined list of the seven European funding programs looks as follows: Lifelong Learning, Youth in Action, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink and the cooperation program with industrialized countries. Featuring an integrated approach, Erasmus+ offers multiple cooperation opportunities between education, training, youth and sports.
In order to effectively achieve its objectives, Erasmus+ has a more flexible structure, offers simpler participation and funding conditions compared to the previous programs and focuses on impact and a more strategic and integrated approach.
