Erasmus+ is the new European Union’s program for education, training, youth and sports for 2014 – 2020 period. Erasmus+ brings together seven EU programs in education, training, youth, and, for the first time, it supports sports. The combined list of the seven European funding programs looks as follows: Lifelong Learning, Youth in Action, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink and the cooperation program with industrialized countries. Featuring an integrated approach, Erasmus+ offers multiple cooperation opportunities between education, training, youth and sports.
In order to effectively achieve its objectives, Erasmus+ has a more flexible structure, offers simpler participation and funding conditions compared to the previous programs and focuses on impact and a more strategic and integrated approach.

Fulbright scholarships in the USA
The Unite States annually fund Fulbright scholarships for young people abroad, including Romania, who wish to obtain a master’s or doctoral degree at an American university.
The Fulbright programme offers scholarships in the US, for the following academic year, for those who wish to obtain a master’s or doctoral degree from an American university, in nearly all fields of study, including Arts, but excepting Medicine.
These scholarships are granted to students from Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Europe and Eurasia, the Middle East, North Africa, the rest of America and Southern and Central Asia.
Fulbright bears all expenses during the years of study. Scholarships generally cover tuition fees, books, travel tickets, spending money and medical insurance. The programme is administered by Fulbright Commissions or by the Embassies of the United States in the accepted countries. All foreign students’ applications are evaluated by experts from these institutions.
Fulbright scholarships apply to a wide range of subjects and fields, including Fine Arts, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology. Fulbright encourages young people to not confine themselves to one subject, but apply for all fields.
The programme does not offer degrees for those who wish to study Medicine or specialize in medical research, but supports health globally.
