ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

UVVG Master’s Studies Department

The Master’s Studies Department—known under the institutional name IOSUM (Institution for the Organization of University Master’s Studies)—is the central structure that manages the entire master’s program offering of the “Vasile Goldiș” Western University of Arad. The department manages master’s programs, ensuring the implementation of the management system and academic quality at all organizational levels.
The department’s role goes beyond administrative coordination, as IOSUM ensures the consistent implementation of the management system across all master’s programs, monitors academic quality, and guarantees compliance with the legal framework and ARACIS accreditation standards. At the same time, it facilitates communication between faculties, master’s students, and the university leadership, contributing to the continuous updating of curricula in line with the real requirements of the labor market.

The department’s activity is regulated by the Department’s Organization and Functioning Regulations, a public document available in the UVVG Document Management System. Through an approach oriented towards professional relevance, IOSUM contributes to maintaining a high level of academic rigor—from admission to the public defense of the dissertation—ensuring each master’s student a coherent and well-structured academic path.
