THREE FIELDS.
DOZENS OF POSSIBLE CAREERS

The Faculty of Economic Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering brings together three complementary fields: economics and business, applied computer science, and forestry engineering. This unique combination prepares graduates capable of working in complex organisations — from local companies to international corporations.

The programmes are developed together with employers in the region. CECCAR, the Arad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and partner companies actively contribute to updating the curriculum. Students complete internships with real partners — not in front organisations.

The faculty operates in Arad, Satu Mare, Zalău, Marghita and Baia Mare. The Business Informatics dual programme in Baia Mare is one of the first initiatives of this kind among private universities in north-western Romania.

“Here we do not talk about economics in purely theoretical terms. We talk about what is happening right now in companies in the region.”

The faculty operates with small groups and in-person attendance. Lecturers are both academic staff and active practitioners — certified accountants, management consultants, and IT specialists with experience in the private sector.

From 2025, the Business Informatics programme is available in a dual system in Baia Mare — students spend half their time with the partner employer, with an internship scholarship included, gaining real experience before graduation.

“I encourage young high-school graduates from Maramureș to enrol in our programmes. A close-knit, warm and friendly academic environment, experienced teaching staff — and the same degrees as anywhere else in the country.”

The Faculty of Economic Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering trains specialists with verifiable practical skills, capable of integrating quickly into the regional and national labour market. The educational process focuses on collaboration with the business environment and on acquiring competencies that employers genuinely require.

Vision: strengthening the faculty as a regional benchmark in private education in economics, computer science and forestry engineering, recognised for the quality of its graduates and their rapid professional integration.

Values promoted: a practice-oriented approach, adaptability, analytical thinking, professional responsibility, and active partnership with the local business community.
