Why choose to study Nutrition and Dietetics

We eat every day, but few truly know what food does to our bodies. Nutrition and Dietetics is the specialization that transforms this curiosity into a profession. You will understand the biochemical mechanisms of nutrition, learn to identify nutritional imbalances, and build personalized diets for each patient.

The bachelor’s program at UVVG Arad trains specialists with dual qualifications: nutritionist and dietitian. The three years of study combine a scientific foundation—anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology—with direct practical applications in counseling, meal planning, and therapeutic diet management.

Upon graduation, you will be prepared to work in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, sports clubs, or public catering. You can practice in Romania or any European state, as the qualification is internationally recognized.

Why choose to study this specialization at UVVG?

  • Under-resourced field in Romania — the demand for nutritionists and dietitians exceeds the supply of specialists in the labor market

  • Dual qualification upon graduation — both as a nutritionist and a dietitian, recognized in the EU

  • Small study groups — direct access to faculty with clinical and research experience

  • Integrated medical practice — collaboration with healthcare units in Arad and the region

  • Solid scientific foundation: anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacotherapy — not magazine diets

  • Erasmus+ mobilities — opportunity to study or undertake practical training at a partner European university

  • Possibility to continue with a master’s degree or complementary specializations within UVVG
