Why choose to study Pharmacy?

Pharmacy is one of the few professions where science and people meet daily, face-to-face. You don’t work with files or screens — you work with people who need to understand what they are taking, why they are taking it, and what effects may occur. The pharmacist is the first filter between prescription and patient. It matters immensely.

At UVVG Arad, Pharmacy means more than a standard curriculum. In addition to pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, and clinical basics common to all faculties in Romania, you gain access to subjects that differentiate you in the job market: phytotherapy and plant pharmacovigilance, molecular biology of medicine, nutrition and dietetics, homeopathy, food supplements. These are growing fields where the modern pharmacist must know how to respond — and where most graduates lack training.

Practical experience doesn’t come at the end. You enter accredited pharmacies from the first year and gain real experience throughout your studies. You’ll know what a shift at the counter, a stock order, or a drug interaction check means before you attend your first interview. The final year is entirely dedicated to compact practice — a whole semester in pharmacies in Arad, where you definitively transition from theory to profession.

Groups are small. Professors know you by name. If you have a problem with a subject, you solve it in time — not at a retake. This is the difference from a university with hundreds of students per year: you have real access to teaching staff, not recorded presentations.

The diploma you receive is recognized in the European Union. You can practice as a pharmacist in any member state, without additional exams. Romania, Germany, Austria, France — the choice is yours. The job market is open wherever you go.
