Why choose to study School Counseling and Psychopedagogical Support?

In a class of 25 students, statistically, at least 5 are facing real difficulties: anxiety, integration issues, learning difficulties, complicated family situations. The school counselor is the specialist who sees them all — and knows what to do.

The Master’s program in School Counseling and Psychopedagogical Support prepares you to work in psychopedagogical support offices in schools, in county resource centers (CJRAE), and in any educational context where people need specialized support. Not only to listen — but also to intervene, using validated methods and practical tools.

The program is delivered in IFR format (part-time) — you can continue working in parallel. Face-to-face activities are concentrated in periodic modules at the UVVG Baia Mare extension.

In recent years, the Ministry of Education has allocated over 1,200 new school counselor positions, and demand continues to grow. Maramureș County, like the rest of the country, has a real shortage of psychopedagogical support specialists. Master’s degrees in this field open positions in the public system — through competitive exams at CJRAE and the County School Inspectorate (ISJ).
