Why choose to study Dentistry?

Dental medicine is not a profession. It is a way of being present for a person in the moments when they need reassurance the most. The Dental Medicine program at UVVG Arad trains you to become a complete clinician—with hands that know what they are doing and a mind that understands the person in front of you, not just their condition.

Over the course of six years, you will cover the fundamentals of medicine—anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology—and progressively enter the specialty: restorative dentistry, endodontics, dental prosthetics, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontology. The curriculum includes a significant number of clinical practice hours, conducted in the university’s own clinics in Arad, starting from the third semester.

The diploma obtained at UVVG is automatically recognized in all member states of the European Union, in accordance with European Directive 2005/36/EC on the recognition of professional qualifications. You can practice in Romania, in any EU country, or anywhere in the world where European diplomas are recognized.

Why choose to study this specialization at UVVG?

  • AHPGS international accreditation—a quality standard recognized beyond Romania’s borders

  • Clinical practice in complete specialties: restorative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthetics, periodontology

  • Elective courses that allow you to build your own path: preventive dental medicine, emergencies, pain therapy

  • Modernized infrastructure through proprietary investments—laboratories and dental units meeting current standards

  • Your own practice immediately after graduation—the profession allows individual entrepreneurship without an employer

  • Possible continuation through doctoral studies in the field, at UVVG

  • Own clinics from semester 3 – You don’t wait 4 years to pick up an instrument. At UVVG, you enter the clinic early, work on real patients, and gain concrete experience before graduation.

  • Diploma recognized throughout the EU – You can practice without additional examinations in any European Union member state—and anywhere in the world where European qualifications are recognized. Directive 2005/36/EC guarantees this.

  • Professors know you by name – Small groups mean you receive real feedback, not generic. The teaching staff are active practitioners—they guide you from their practice experience, not just from textbooks.
