Why choose to study Forestry?

Forests are not managed from an office. Forestry means fieldwork, responsibility, and applied knowledge—from tree biology to forestry fund legislation and economic models for timber and accessory product valorization. The Forestry program at UVVG Arad trains you to understand the forest ecosystem in all its complexity and to make sustainable management decisions.

Over four years, you cover disciplines that address the abiotic and biotic factors of the forest ecosystem, techniques for establishing, managing, and improving stands, harvesting and valorizing timber, managing hunting and fishing resources, forest ecology, and specific legislation. The curriculum includes fieldwork and practical training in forest districts and sector institutions.

Upon graduation, you are qualified as a bachelor’s degree holder in forestry—with access to careers in national forestry fund administration, ecological reconstruction projects, timber exploitation and valorization companies, or environmental protection institutions. You can continue with master’s or doctoral studies.
