“Vasile Goldiș” Western University of Arad is a member of the Association of European Universities – (EUA), Magna Charta Observatory, Danube Rectors’ Conference (DRC), European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg, European Consortium “Carolus Magnus”, Union of Eurasian Universities (EURAS), the Association of Universities of the Transcarpathian Region (ACRU), the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), holding the Vice-Presidency of the European Federation for Education (FEDE).

The main objective of the Department of International Relations is to support the internationalization policy of the University and to promote its image, as an institution of education, science and culture, both in the European space and globally.

The fundamental mission of the department is in accordance with the mission of the University, to strengthen the exchange of values, through international cooperation, for the affirmation of the affiliation to the European Higher Education Area and to the European Research Area.
