This study program provides for the alumni professional qualifications and responsibilities specific for modern medicine, with the possibility to continue their studies according to Bologna process.

The objectives of the study program are achieved by providing for adequate theoretic and fundamental training, namely: practical skills according to a minimum listing set for each subject, by practical internships, shift and summer internships which receive annual credit units in the curriculum; defining the role which the kinesitherapist has as promoter of the population health state by understanding the influences which the lifestyle has on the needs for their care; acquiring respect to the patients with the adoption of appropriate cultural, ethical and processional standards.

The general didactic concept of the program aims for a balanced and coordinated theoretical training so the knowledge and practical experience be acquired properly, thus allowing the graduates for a multi-disciplinary approach and integrated comprehension of the recovery concept mainly targeted for patients with various conditions.

SKILLS

Professional skills:

  • Assessing the general state (especially the musculoskeletal system) of the patient or athlete, from a functional anatomical point of view;
  • Identifying the clinical signs of musculoskeletal distress;
  • Setting up of kinesitherapy programs adjusted to the pathology and compliant with the goals the physician has decided, using the fundamental knowledge in the field;
  • Drawing up and implementing individualized massage programs;
  • Drawing up and implementing hydrothermal therapy programs and other specific methods compliant with the pathology within the integrated recovery treatment program;
  • Performing electrotherapy protocols drawn up by the doctor;
  • Performing the necessary calculations to establish a functional diagnostic, and to follow it up;
  • Training the patient to use orthotics, prostheses and other devices to facilitate daily and socio-professional activities;
  • Medical recovery programs on various conditions categories;
  • Additional therapy programs;

Transversal skills:

  • Identifying the goals to be achieved, the available resources, the terms for their completion, the steps to be taken, the hours required for their achievement, the related deadlines and risks;
  • Identifying the roles and responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team and putting into practice efficient working relation and techniques both regarding the team, and the patient;
  • Efficient use of information and communication resources, and of assisted professional training (Internet portals, specialized software applications, databases, online courses, etc.) both in Romanian and in an international language.
